This website has been created as a place where people can provide feedback and suggestions directly to us regarding the proposed Energy-to Waste plant at Waimate.

We are happy to provide more information if your question has not been answered. Please check out our questions and answers page. We welcome any feedback or suggestions regarding the proposed plant.

SIRRL will be consulting with people in Waimate to answer any questions and hear community views on the proposed plant. It is important that community feedback and other feedback is considered before a resource consent application to build and operate the plant is lodged later this year.

Consents will be required from both Environment Canterbury and the Waimate District Council.  SIRRL will ask Environment Canterbury to publicly notify its Energy-from-Waste resource consent application. This public notification process will allow people to participate in the consenting process and have their say on the project.
